The last time I was in Chicago I was still in an emotional version of shell shock. I drove up there for no reason other than I was sort of compelled to do so. Some things had changed since my last night performing BUGHOUSE! at the Haymarket and driving to Vegas the next day.
What hadn’t changed was it felt like the gravity there was more solid than I’d felt in a while.
In a few weeks, I’m heading back north with a bit more intention. Sell some books, see some friends, eat some pizza.
I’m really looking forward to it and, if you’re in Chicago on the 17th, I’d love to invite you to swing by the Haymarket, get something delicious, grab a pint of the best beer in Chicago, and listen as I and a few friends read from both the books I wrote and published this year that catalog my Vegas experience as well as a brand new book by David Himmel that is a novel detailing a move from Vegas back to Chicago and the devastation that followed.
It should be fun.
kinda a long drive for moi
