Thanks for the billboard, mon Ami!

That said, my fave double feature is Harold and Maude/Where's Poppa? Ruth Gordon, a force of nature, stars in both and the performances of George Segal, Bud Cort and Vivian Pickles rock.

Looking forward to the new book...

Have a killer week, Man.

You are not attending alone as you share your experiences with all of us! I would suggest not having a companion with you allows you to fully enjoy the venue without the stress of entertaining said companion. Not to say you shouldn’t enjoy company but lots of times watching is a solo thing! And I wonder is a good morning worth 25cents? Hmm

I'm gobsmacked that I've seen none of the movies to which you referred, with the exception of "The Goonies." I feel like I've watched a plethora of movies in my time, but there's a very real possibility that I am mistaken & that my estimation of what constitutes a plethora has missed the mark entirely. (I am jotting this down for future reference, in case someday I muster up the gumption later in life to write a sarcastic, likely dismal memoir titled "My Life Was Just A Series Of Fallacies, But Who Am I To Judge?")

Unless you are addicted to Thin Mints & have access to a cookie addiction trust fund, skip the Girl Scout cookies. Most of the money goes to the bakeries & The Council, & not to the troop of the delightful faces accosting people on sidewalks & in parking lots across the nation. I cannot begin to tell you the amount of aggravation, bordering on disdain, I harbor toward the Girl Scout organization. Not the girls themselves, of course, for they are delightful.

Our troop leader was a disorganized, cookie obsessed mother, whose thoughtlessness managed to bring several girls to tears over the years, including my daughter, starting in kindergarten. I attempted to help this woman as much as she allowed, & was even "promoted" to co-leader our final year, but my suggestions were axed with the swiftness of a tree feller, & my efforts were largely futile. The final straw for my daughter was her first canoe experience, which resulted in three 8 year old girls sobbing & screaming, stuck in the middle of a pond, because they couldn't figure out the rowing, all because the canoe "instructor" would not allow an adult to go with them. I understand the value in letting kids figure things out themselves & in general, that's what my daughter prefers, but when the motion sickness & hyperventilating start, perhaps you should amend the protocol.

I'm going to skip commentary on the current administration of idiots, as they thrive on the attention. I do however, hope that we don't find ourselves on the threshold of WW Tres, because someone rage-typed something stupid in the middle of the night on an app or social media platform.

Question: Can you still recite your "Music Man" lines or the lyrically laborious songs?

I find myself singing, "Oh we got trouble..." more often than one would think, decades after the introduction to the song.

We've successfully survived The Ides Of March, so here's to our King's proclamation of the newly made up holiday, "Liberation Day." There are not enough emojis for my response. 🤦🏼‍♀️🙄🤔😬👀😡😎
